The data I have at hand is a bit dated (1998) but comes from Honomichl's annual report in Marketing News.
He gives total U.S. research revenues as $3.3 billion and identifies 34.6% as "market measurement" which I presume includes the scanner data you seek.
If this helps, fine. But you may get more current information from CASRO or from Honomichl himself.
